District 8 Republican Nominating Caucus and Party Convention

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Anderson County Republican Party intends to hold a Republican nominating caucus and party convention pursuant to T.C.A. § 5-1-104 for the purpose of nominating a Republican candidate for the vacant District 8 seat on the Anderson County Commission.

DATE:  Tuesday, September 8, 2026

DOORS OPEN:  5:30 p.m.

CAUCUS BEGINS:  6:00 p.m.

LOCATION:  Oak Ridge Division II General Sessions Court

ADDRESS:  728 Emory Valley Road, Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37830

 

ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE

Only Qualified Participants, as defined by the Tennessee Republican Party Rules, who are registered voters residing in Anderson County Commission District 8 may participate and vote in the nomination process. Eligibility will be verified before a participant is admitted to vote.

Individuals interested in seeking the Republican nomination should contact the Anderson County Republican Party promptly so that candidate eligibility may be reviewed before the caucus.
