Being connected to your Republican party is very important if you want to be considered a bona fide Republican.
The "bona fide" status means a conservative shows consistent Republican voting and is active and/or a donor in the Republican community.

NOTICE: Every odd numbered year local GOP parties must meet to elect new officers for the county executive committee (CEC). Thursday January 16th a Contest and Credentials committee will be appointed to prepare that reorganization meeting to be held in early spring. If you want to learn more about party leadership you may attend this meeting next week at 7:00 pm where there will be an explanation about what the CEC is supposed to do in each county of Tennessee. More details will be sent to you after arrangements have been made.
NOTE THIS LOCATION CHANGE: The building where we usually meet will not be available next Thursday, so the Social Room at the Oak Ridge Civic Center has been reserved for this meeting. The Social Room is in the Civic Center building with the pool and is across from the gymnasium.
