Being connected to your Republican party is very important if you want to be considered a bona fide Republican.
The "bona fide" status means a conservative shows consistent Republican voting and is active and/or a donor in the Republican community.
We hope our website gives you the information you need to get involved and to vote for Republican candidates.
Time to
Reorganize!
IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT
REORGANIZING THE PARTY!

Every two years all county parties must "reorganize" for the following two year term. Reorganization basically means electing a new Chairperson and four other new officers. At the January meeting the executive committee voted to hold our reorganization to elect new officers on Thursday March 27th at 7:00 pm. The meeting will be held at our regular meeting location, 635 Hillcrest Street in Clinton (Clinton Church of God fellowship hall). As required by the State GOP a Contest and Credentials Committee has been appointed which will handle registration and other details of the meeting. Please attend. It would be great to have a BIG turnout!

Qualifications to participate:
Any Republican wishing to participate must meet these qualifications:
-
Must be properly registered to vote in Anderson County Tennessee
-
Must have voted as a Republican three out of the last four Republican primary elections. Those dates are August 2020, August 2022, March 2024, and August 2024
-
Only those who qualify to participate will be allowed to be present on the floor during the Reorganization meeting.
-
Any Republican who is too young to have voted in three of those last four elections must have approval of the State Republican party. The Contest and Credentials Committee will assist in acquiring that approval.
-
If a person's qualifications are determined to be insufficient then the Contest and Credentials Committee should have your pre-registration no later than March 20 so there is time to meet additional requirements on the committee and pre-registrant. Please register early.
To register you may use any of these methods:

Anderson County Republican Executive Committee
Myra Mansfield
Chairwoman
Myra feels honored to serve as the chairwoman during such a difficult time in our country. In 2022 she led the party in a grassroots effort to bring major change to local government when Anderson GOP had the largest-ever slate of Republican candidates by expanding the ballot an additional 20 partisan seats! In 2024 that expansion turned another 13 seats partisan. The party has grown in participation and had to move monthly meetings to a larger, more central location in the county. The organization rebranded, developed a new website, organized new committees, and created a popular Vote Republican campaign. Prior to being elected as Chairwoman Myra served as the vice chair for two years before serving as treasurer for four years. She was reelected for a second two-year term until 2025.

Tim Isbel
Vice Chair
A 14-year veteran of the Anderson County Board of Commissioners Tim Isbel was elected as vice chair to the Anderson County Republican Party Executive Committee in 2021. His decision stemmed from a desire to be part of a grassroots movement to save America from the damaging liberal policies we see affecting the country under the current administration in Washington. Tim is a business owner in Rocky Top, Tennessee.

Rickey Rose
Treasurer
Rickey Rose has a long history of public service in the Anderson County community. A native of Anderson County, Rickey lives in Dutch Valley with Freda, his wife of 56 years. They have two children and four grandchildren.
After graduating from University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Business Administration he spent one year in Vietnam, 30 years in Merchandising Management, and ten years with the Anderson County Highway Department.
As a public servant he spent 20 years as an Anderson County Commissioner, 8 years on the Anderson Co. School Board, and is presently serving on the Anderson County Water Authority.

Keith Copeland
Vice treasurer
Keith Copeland has served as treasurer and now vice treasurer for the party since 2021. He is co-owner of Copeland Brothers Construction in Clinton, Tennessee and is married to Regina Copeland who serves as the Anderson County Trustee. Keith is a leader in the local church where they attend and is well respected. He loves to fish in his spare time.

Debbie Heaton
Secretary
Debra “Debbie” Heaton is new to Republican leadership, but not new to the party. Debbie is a lifelong Republican. She and her family have supported the election of Republican candidates for years. Debbie is a native of Carter County, Tennessee, but has lived in Anderson County since 2003. She is married to Kevin, and they have a son, Lucas. Debbie is excited to serve in this role and is currently running for Clinton City School Board, Ward 1.

Mayor Terry Frank
State Executive Committeewoman
Theresa "Terry" Frank has been involved in the Republican party since she attended college as part of the Young Republicans following generations of family tradition in public service. Most recently she served as vice chair before being elected secretary in 2021. In 2022 she was elected as the State Executive Committeewoman for District 5. She has served as Anderson County Mayor since 2012 after running a family business for many years. She and her husband Lee have three adult sons and two young grandchildren.

Tim Hutchison, Sheriff (Ret)
State Executive Committeeman
Tim Hutchison of Knoxville spent his career in law enforcement and has the distinction as the longest-serving sheriff in Knox County history. In 2022 he was elected as the District 5 committeeman to the Tennessee State Republican Executive Committee.

Anthony Allen
Chair Emeritus
During the four years Anthony Allen served as Chairman for the Anderson County Republican Party he implemented a regular monthly meeting schedule and grew a group of loyal supporters. In 2020 he led the party into the most successful fundraising campaign bringing the party out of a dormant financial period and grossing the highest fundraising income on record.
Anthony also broke the local party away from the Democrat-led candidate forums so that the Republican party can showcase their own great candidates to our citizens. He previously served as vice treasurer for two years and currently serves as Chair Emeritus. The term of Chair Emeritus is 2-4 years depending on the same terms as the next party chairperson.

Lucas Heaton
Young Republicans Chairman
Lucas Heaton became part of the executive committee after restarting the local Young Republicans club in Anderson County in 2022. He has been volunteering with local Republican campaigns since the age of 10. He and his team are spearheading efforts to inspire the next generation to prioritize involvement in the Republican party.
